The Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership (Partnership) is a nonprofit management support organization with a vision of successful nonprofits supporting thriving communities. The Partnership works with local organizations to strengthen their foundation and help them grow through a varietyofsupport services including: customized training and educational courses, consulting, peer networks, coaching, and organizational development. The Partnership is seeking aDirector ofPrograms who will overseeall aspects ofprogram delivery for the Partnershipfromcurricula andprogram design to service delivery andprogramevaluation. As a member of theleadershipteam, s/he works with theExecutive Directorto ensure the delivery of qualityeducation,customized training,consultative services,eventsand affinity groups.

The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter and leads from within with a willingness to do any job, big or small, to ensurethe success of the Partnership and our constituency. S/he pays attention to detail, andisable to interact with a wide range of constituencies.

MajorResponsibilities:

Supervise program staff, meeting regularly to manage staff work, provide guidance and coaching, reviewstaffperformance to ensure all program goals are accomplished.

Based on best practices in popular education and adult learning, and addressing the needs oforganization’s constituency,develop and oversee all programingfor the Partnership.

Co-design curriculum and training materials withtrainers/consultants deliveringprograms and servicesto constituency.

In partnership with the staff, design evaluation fortrainers/consultantsassess skills, performance, and commitment to the Partnership’s mission.

Develop and implement evaluation plan for all education programs and, in partnership with Executive Director, adjust, change, and enhance education offerings by the Nonprofit Partnership.

Manage and facilitatetheNonprofitPartnershipLeadershipInstitute:Emerging LeadersProgramand Board Leadership Series.

Overseeallprogrambudgetsand contracting.

Participate in resourceand funddevelopment.

Represent the Partnership atcollaboratives, workshops and events.

Qualifications:Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to the nonprofit sector, with at least eight years in community organizations, and a minimum five years ofexperienceinnonprofit management andprogramplanning. Successful record ofnonprofit management,program design, strategic thinking, community relations, and team coaching.Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and evaluating program and administrative needs as well as analyzing, organizing and prioritizing. Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills, computer and database knowledge (minimally Microsoft Office Suite), and experience working in collaborative environments.Undergraduate degreein a related fieldrequired.Experience working in a small office environment, multi-tasking,trainingand contract management preferred.

Benefits and Compensation:This is a full-time exempt position with a usual schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.We offer a full benefits package: medical,dental ,and vision coverage; vacation and sick leave; holidays;personal days;and retirement planwith an employer match.Compensation: DOE
