Program Support Coordinator – California Academy of Family Physicians – San Francisco, CA

We’re looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to support the California Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP) with our medical education and advocacy programs! The Program Support Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the CAFP Residency Network and CAFP’s Family Medicine Political Action Committee (FP-PAC), assisting with Student and Resident Council administrative needs, and performing general administrative duties, including reception and phone answering.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work under the Manager of Workforce Development as the lead administrator for the CAFP Residency Network by: maintaining statewide and regional communication among residency programs; assisting program coordinators and the CAFP Membership Department with event planning and conference staffing; collecting yearly residency network fees; identifying and implementing statewide and regional goals; and supporting CAFP’s online presence.
Provide general administrative support to the FP-PAC Director, including coordinating FP-PAC fundraising events for candidates, spearheading FP-PAC donor drives and targeted mailings, tracking and processing contributions, recognizing and thanking contributors.
Organize and facilitating government relations and policy activities and events, including conference calls and in-person meetings.
Perform reception, phone answering (a responsibility shared with other members of the staff) and general administrative support duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in event planning and responsive to customers/members.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word; Google products and Salesforce a plus.
Experience with data management preferred.
Enjoys building teams and working and engaging with others
Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with strategic objectives with limited supervision.
