Director of Social Impact – My New Red Shoes – Redwood

Position Overview:
The Director of Social Impact is responsible for developing and overseeing our community impact strategy and outcome measurements; designing, managing and evaluating our program and advocacy portfolio; and, stewarding and cultivating strategic corporate and community partnerships to advance our mission and community presence.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience leading people and change; is a systems thinker with broad knowledge and a strong understanding of public policy, philanthropy, and program design; has a successful track record of building coalitions and partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and designing innovative, high impact programs; and, possesses a deep and genuine commitment to advancing equity and social justice.
The position reports to the Executive Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Program Impact:
Develop and oversee our social impact and advocacy strategies, ensuring alignment with our mission, vision, values and goals;
Lead the conceptualization, planning, development and execution of innovative programs and initiatives that advance our social impact;
Set meaningful and measurable short and long-term KPIs to assess our social impact and effectiveness;
Oversee impact analysis and evolve strategies, approaches and programs as necessary based on learnings or changes in community needs;
Develop reporting capabilities and generate communications, providing internal and external audiences with a comprehensive and accurate picture of our impact;
Strategic Partnerships, Community Engagement and Relationship Building:
Lead engagement, partnerships, and advocacy with key external stakeholders, including program partners, corporate partners, civic leaders and policy makers to advance our community presence, impact and leadership;

Team Leadership:
Provide strategic guidance and collaboration to MNRS staff in establishing and aligning cross-departmental goals, objectives, processes and reporting to advance our impact;
Support fundraising and other revenue-generating efforts to sustain initiatives and launch new programming;
Work closely with the Operations team to oversee smooth execution of programs and initiatives;
Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of management level-experience in Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, Community Organizing, Corporate CSR, or related discipline;
Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence internal and external entities of all levels;
Demonstrated success in building, implementing and evolving high impact programs;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent MNRS to the public;
Analytic mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and measurement of outcomes;
Passionate about social change, equity, and creating a positive impact on society;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid and dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
