Administrative / Communications Assistant – Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility – Seattle, WA

The Administrative and Communications Assistant will support the communications needs and office administration of Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility, a small nonprofit organization located in Seattle’s University District.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Writing and editing web content, newsletters, press releases
Communicating with WPSR members and activists via social media
Coordinating mailings to WPSR members
Copyediting written program materials
Updating membership and donor database
Assisting with management of office systems, including office technology and supplies
Assisting with occasional events

Requirements

Strong writing and editing skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Familiarity with common office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Familiarity with common social media sites including Facebook and Twitter

Preferred

Interest or knowledge in public affairs, public health, medicine, and/or any of WPSR’s program areas (including nuclear disarmament, climate change, and income inequality)
Familiarity with Salesforce and Vertical Response
Strong problem-solving skills
