The Volunteer Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and implementing recruitment and retention volunteer plans for CASA for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties to ensure low turnover and availability of qualified applicants to meet CASA’s needs. We are seeking two part-time Volunteer Recruiters, one position will focus on volunteer recruitment for CASA of Burlington County in the Mt. Holly office and the other position will focus on volunteer recruitment for CASA of Mercer County in the Ewing office. Duties include coordinating all aspects of recruitment, screening, selection, tracking and monitoring volunteers; developing communication strategies to improve recruitment and retention effectiveness; performing special projects; preparing and submitting reports, entering recruitment and screening data in the database. Each position is a part-time (.50 percent) time position (approximately 20 hours a week.)
Qualifications The Volunteer Recruiter should have the following skills and experience: a bachelor’s degree is required; experience in volunteer management, marketing, public relations, sales, communications or related field is preferred; exemplary organizational and time management skills; capability to work independently, develop strategies and build alliances to reach stated recruitment goals; strong written, oral communication, and public speaking skills; the ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities; familiarity with Mercer County for the Mercer position and familiary with Burlington County for the Burlington position preferred; and strong computer skills necessary
Responsibilities: – Manage volunteer recruiting, screening, and interviewing; conduct all volunteer orientation activities, some which take place in the evenings; develop, coordinate and implement marketing, recruitment, retention programs and strategies to ensure availability of qualified volunteers; use marketing and public relations tools to publicize opportunities for volunteers, develop and maintain relationships with other volunteer organizations; use the internet and social media to increase volunteer recruitment, host and attend recruiting events; coordinate recruitment needs with appropriate staff; analyze, respond to and resolve recruitment issues; and keep necessary records as described by our volunteer management procedures both on paper and in our database
