Volunteer Coordinator – A Wider Circle – Silver Spring, MD

The work of A Wider Circle is growing, due in large part to the tremendous support of individuals, businesses, and other groups that seek to engage in the movement to end poverty. The individual in this position will work closely with our current Volunteer Coordinator, as well as with other management personnel, to help us provide meaningful and dynamic volunteer experiences for all those who come to us.

At A Wider Circle, we know that the best chance for poverty to end is for the community, at large, to engage in the effort. We have seen people rise out of poverty, and we know that support is the key. In so many ways, our volunteers provide that support.

The position is for a very committed individual who is organized, energetic, and will be a strong representative not only of A Wider Circle, but of those we serve. We are looking for someone who brings significant professional experience and is comfortable reaching out to and making presentations to corporations, civic associations, and groups of all sizes.

More than 15,000 volunteers came to A Wider Circle in 2014, and that number is growing as our services grow. The person in this position has a chance to help build something very special as part of the movement to end poverty.
