As Common Impact celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2015, it seeks a Marketing & Event Intern to help steward and support its marketing strategy and cultivate new partners and donors for the next phase of its growth.
Common Impact seeks a Marketing & Events intern who has strong multi-format writing capabilities, visual design and presentation skills, and experience assessing and reporting on marketing metrics. This paid, part-time position offers a unique opportunity to build the presence of an innovative, entrepreneurial nonprofit. The ideal candidate will have background and experience in collateral development, managing social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) and measuring associated analytics, event planning and management, and a solid understanding of the principles of publicity and promotion. While we don’t expect that you’ll have significant experience in all of these areas, we expect that you’ll have strong instincts and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to support Common Impact with a broad range of marketing activities.
Common Impact seeks a marketing intern to assist our CEO in implementing Common Impact’s 2015 marketing and event strategy. This will include:
Creating materials that communicate the impact of Common Impact’s consulting programs through social media, blogs, and case study development
Supporting the successful implementation of two donor and client cultivation events
Collecting, assessing and reporting out on key metrics related to Common Impact’s communication channels
Work Location and Hours
We are looking for a candidate to join us for approximately 8-10 hours per week. Internship to start late-April or early-May of 2015, end date flexible. Common Impact offices are located in Boston, MA and Brooklyn, NY, but work can be completed virtually. Compensation commensurate with experience.
