Title: Nexus Global Associate

Start Date: April 15, 2016

Hours: Full time; 40-50 hours a week

Compensation: Non-Profit Consultant Salary; Commensurate with Experience

What is Nexus?

Nexus is a global movement of 2000+ young investors, social entrepreneurs and philanthropists. The network collaborates to advance the potential of next generation leadership across nations and sectors as well as to bridge communities of wealth and social entrepreneurship for dialogue, education and collaborative problem solving. The membership includes people from more than 70 countries and hundreds of the world’s most influential families. Founded in 2011, Nexus has convened events in partnership with the United Nations, White House, and over 10+ international locations across Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, & Latin America.

Role Description:

The Nexus Global Associate will play an integral role as part of Nexus Headquarter’s team focused on City Outreach & Fundraising, Member Cultivation, Tech Support. Over time with success, we will increase responsibility in new areas and seek ways to match passions with day-to-day functions.

1. Communications & Member Cultivation (30%)

Drafting & design of quarterly Global E-Newsletter (iContact)
Social media channel posting & oversight
Network Concierge program (connecting members with each other)
Impact Measurement Initiatives (Surveys, Awards, etc)

2. Outreach & Fundraising (30%)

Stakeholder Mapping of key USA cities
Deploying New Member Recruitment Strategies
Building Sponsorship Pipeline

3. Technology Support (30%)

Online Community Management Launch & Content Curation
Region Director Summit Application Support
Ongoing Website and CRM Development

4. Research (10%):

Ad hoc research projects upon request.

Requirements:

Based in Washington, DC metro area (or willingness to re-locate)
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
1-3 years professional experience
Demonstrated passion for impact investing, social entrepreneurship, and/or philanthropy
Enjoy working both independently and collaboratively at a fast pace in a globally minded entrepreneurial environment
Proficiency or ability to learn technology tools quickly such as HTML, Salesforce, WordPress, iContact, and other applications
