Citymeals-on-Wheels provides a continuous lifeline of nutritious meals and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, this position provides day-to-day management of the organization’s direct marketing program.
Primary responsibilities include:
Manage an annual calendar of direct marketing campaigns for donor acquisition and renewal from strategy through production
Work closely with vendors, freelancers and consultants on print and online appeals
Plan and develop content for appeals by liaising with both internal and external sources
Draft copy for marketing and communications materials
Ensure direct marketing materials are consistent with organization brand and messaging
Track effectiveness of campaigns and implement appropriate analytics
Coordinate gift acknowledgment with Database Manager and collaborate on list segmentation and data integrity
Minimum of three years relevant non-profit fundraising or direct marketing experience
Strong project management skills, with focus on setting priorities, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
Solid writer who understands the difference between revising and proofreading
Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel) and Raiser’s Edge (or comparable donor database); familiarity with QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign
