Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and analysis for multiple departments and divisions; analyze data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed
Perform monthly financial analysis of balance sheets and income statements; investigate and report any inconsistencies or improprieties
Work with the Development Department to develop budgets for grant applications and reconcile to their monthly report; prepare financial reports to funders upon request
Assist the Director of Finance and Senior Finance Manager with developing the agency wide annual budget and forecasts
Other projects and duties as assigned
At least 5 years of solid accounting experience, including a working understanding of complex accounting management systems (Sage, Microsoft NAV, Adaptive, etc); advanced-level Excel skills and precise attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency; ability to construct an internal budget plan, budget monies, and make decisions about how to allocate monies and evaluate performance; managerial accounting skills (measuring, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information)
Teamwork, strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge and experience with non-profits and for-profits

This position requires occasional travel to appointments and other Rubicon meetings; if the employee opts to meet these travel requirements by driving, proof of a valid and current driver license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.
