Senior Finance Director – Facing Forward to End Homelessness – Chicago

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Finance Director is responsible for
· Developing a financial management strategy with metrics tied to that strategy.
· Developing and monitoring financial control systems designed to preserve assets; developing and ensuring accounting policies and procedures are followed.
· Developing and analyzing accurate financial reports, monitoring day-to-day operations of a seven-person department.
· Developing and overseeing the budget.
· Overseeing contracts with federal, city, and state agencies.
· Working closely with the Finance Committee, Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and staff organization wide.

· You are detail oriented with firm knowledge of nonprofit standards, uniform guidance practices, and federal and state regulations.
· You have demonstrated experience leading a financial function of an organization or company.
· You are a well-rounded supervisor able to establish good rapport with your team and grow them to the next level.
· You have a master’s degree in accounting, business, or related field and/or relevant professional experience. CPA strongly preferred.
· You have a minimum of eight years of work experience in nonprofit accounting and reporting.
· Five years previous supervisory and leadership experience. (A nonprofit setting preferred).
· Previous work experience researching, analyzing, and evaluating complex financial data.

COMPENSATION AND HOW TO APPLY
· Salary range is $95,000 to $115,000 depending in experience and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance. Employer-matched retirement plan and generous paid time off .
