Work Opportunities is looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join the King County Team as a full time Employment Specialist II. This position will report to the Program Manager and will provide services and support to clients in the King County and greater King County region.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of about 10 to 12 clients by providing employment services such as: creating and achieving individualized employment goals, skill building and assessing job readiness, interview and resume prep, and also job training and coaching.
Accurately report all client activity in a database and write monthly progress reports to Case Resource Managers
Attend Intake, DVR, and ISP meetings with client, care providers, guardians, and Case Resource Managers.
Maintain client documents according to Work Opportunities and the Department of Social and Health Services standard.
Build relationships with businesses and community members and educate parties about supportive employment.
Actively participate in Work Opportunities events such as Annual Auction and Gala, Bowl-a-Rama, and many more.
Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Proficient with MS Office Suite and Outlook.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time on occasion
Pass a required Washington State criminal background check.
Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
3 year motor vehicle report and the continuous retention of an acceptable 3 year motor vehicle report.
Social service, business and marketing, and/or non-profit experience
Strong knowledge of job searching tools and local labor market
