About our Organization

Good Neighbors USA is an International, non-profit humanitarian organization committed to child education, community development, and emergency relief projects in over 30 countries around the world. We have fundraising offices in the US, Korea, Japan, and an International Cooperation Office in Geneva.

Status

Intern, Part-time, 15-20 hours per week. Time commitment may vary according to the intern’s request. Hours are flexible. For 3 months. (May-July) or (June-August)

Academic Credit

If the intern wishes to receive academic credit for the internship, it will be the intern’s responsibility to make arrangements with his or her school. Good Neighbors USA will provide the necessary job description and performance review upon request.

Education and Experience:

College student at an accredited college or university

Experience or interest in social advocacy and/or non-profit sector

Experience or interest in education, humanitarian work, fundraising, international development

Position Summary

Good Neighbors USA is looking for an intelligent, strategic, and resourceful thinker to help the organization support its donor development outreach efforts.

The intern will learn the basics of development for non-profits, including but not limited to research and strategy, event planning, and database management. The intern will work directly under the Operations Department.

We are looking for someone who has :

Strong personal initiative

Excellent writing skills

An awareness of and interest in international issues

Strong attention to detail and organization

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

An entrepreneurial, innovative spirit and desire to think creatively

Comfort with public speaking

Duties will include:

Collaborate with the Donor Management and Operations Department to develop a marketing strategy for the Child Sponsorship program

Support and coordinate with our team to improve our market outreach and expand our Child Sponsorship program

Reach out to faith-based organizations and individuals interested in partnering with a non-profit with a focus on donor management campaigns

Edit marketing material for the Donor Management team

Assist with summer events

Learning Outcomes:

Gain knowledge and skills while supporting the day-to-day operations of an international non-profit organization

Experience thinking creatively and collaborating with teams internationally

Develop communication and networking skills with organizations and individuals
