Job description
Berkeley Humane is seeking a full-time California-licensed Veterinarian to join our small shelter medical team of 2 RVT’s. The ideal candidate will help design and implement best practice, high-quality veterinary medical care for our animals. This position will also provide training, leadership, and guidance to the Hospital team and internship program.

The successful candidate must have the following:
A passion for providing the highest level of care to animals
Demonstrated aptitude in clinical medicine and surgery
Demonstrated aptitude in Shelter Medicine and in a high-volume spay/neuter clinic
Demonstrated success in managing a diverse team of professionals, skilled in managing varied relationships and successful at facilitating collaboration and cooperation
A willingness to support a learning environment
An affinity for our mission and an interest in providing care to our underserved communities.
A license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of California and obtain a DEA license
