Development and Event Intern – Reproductive Health Access Project – New York, NY

Supporting the work of a small but busy organization, Reproductive Health Access Project (RHAP) Interns play a key role in ensuring that RHAP fulfills its mission. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-starter to apply and develop their skills.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting with the planning of our ten year anniversary celebration
Helping design and distribute event materials (emails, invitations, programs, event website)
Managing ticket sales (online and by mail)
Outreach to potential event sponsors
Processing donations and update donor profiles using online donor management program
Researching potential foundations, corporations, and sources of government funding
Helping draft letters of interest and grant proposals
Supporting outreach to individual donors during bi-annual fundraising campaigns (email and direct mail)

Requirements:

Available to work 10 – 15 hours per week
Excellent writing skills
Well organized and practices good time management
Comfortable on PC and Mac computers
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Interest or experience with HTML and graphic design a plus.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to work independently
Commitment to RHAP’s mission
Sense of humor

End date: September 30, 2015
