Salesforce Database Administrator – Scion Nonprofit Staffing – San Francisco, CA

Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionnonprofitstaffing.com) has been engaged to conduct the search for a Salesforce Database Administrator for our client, a prestigious nonprofit organization in Oakland, CA. This role is contract role with an estimated duration through October 1.

OVERVIEW The Salesforce Database Administrator will provide support for administration and use of the organization’s Salesforce database, provides administrative and technical support to the organization’s programs, engagement, and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Salesforce Administration

Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems including workflow rules and email alerts, reports and dashboards, and data maintenance.
Build reports and dashboards to suit staff needs.
Create fields and page layouts, downloading from the AppExchange as needed.
Maintain a Salesforce Community of about 40 users.
Support staff through training and assistance, keeping staff in the loop about new features and systems.
Create mailing lists for emails and direct mail using reports and campaigns.
Proactively improve and customize Salesforce to suit the organization’s chaging needs.
Responsible for all gift processing and acknowledgement.

Data & Technology

Manage IT support in the office, researching and troubleshooting any technical problems brought by the staff, and serving as the point of contact for our external IT consultants.
Support staff by collecting, capturing, and processing fundraising, communications, and program data.
Produce a comprehensive annual report on talkline data and quarterly reports on talkine, fundraising, and communications data.
Assist with graphic design projects for email, social media, and web, as needed.

Operations & Administrative

General office duties (ordering supplies, developing administrative systems, scheduling).
Maintain a positive professional reputation in the local community and be an energetic, effective, and respected ambassador for the organization; manage general email account and answering phones.
Maintaining physical space including office equipment; serve as liaison to building maintenance.
Prepare invoices and bills for bookkeeper.
Coordinate logistics and materials for meetings and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two years working in an office environment; experience working in a nonprofit setting a huge plus.
Strong level of proficiency in Salesforce.
Techsavvy, with advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, comfortable working on MAC OS; providing general maintenance of office and computer equipment.
Highly adaptable, self-directed, and organized.
Proactive and resourceful, taking initiative and showing leadership.
Systems- and solutions-oriented; excellent problem solver.
Ability to work with a variety of constituents and maintain sensitivity and confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable learning and working independently.
Great listener who is open to feedback and encourages open communication and internal collaboration.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop a huge plus.

COMPENSATION $17-21/hour DOE.
