Program Manager, Startup Resource Program – Venture Café Foundation – Cambridge, MA

Venture Café Boston will be launching a new Startup community website / hub as a resource to the Greater Boston Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.

Venture Cafe is seeking a dynamic and in-the-know Program Manager to act as an evangelist and oversee daily content updates.

The Program Manager will serve as the primary liaison and evangelist for our soon to launched online Startup resource center. The Program Manager will be well-connected to the startup ecosystem and actively represent the site as a central resource location for all. In addition, the Program Manger will be the primary curator for the online content hub, including daily monitoring, supervision, and moderation of all content and community inquiries. They will create and manage any associated newsletters, social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter), and assist with marketing event implementation and logistics. Additional duties as Program Manager include working with the Content, Marketing, and Product teams to identify and secure new content sources and partners for inclusion onto the site, and assist with other relevant communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Support

Work with partners to produce and support key events, including event design and on-site implementation
Establish working relationships with key community partners
Serve as “evangelist” & “ambassador” for the resource center, embedding yourself in the community and promoting positive awareness of the hub

Editorial

Manage the day-to-day updates of the resource center
Manage social media channels for the resource center, promoting the community, content, and partnerships
Ensure selection of optimal feature stories to drive organic growth and adoption
Review and approve community submitted content
Manage and write weekly newsletter
Assist Product and Development teams with ongoing site Q&A

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years experience in a marketing, content, or editorial role
Intimate familiarity with the Greater Boston startup scene
Interest in early-stage funding and/or start-ups
Bachelor’s degree or higher
