Program Manager – Saint Joseph – Girls on the Run Berrien County

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Girls on the Run Berrien County Executive Director and consistent with the mission of Girls on the Run International, the Program Manager will oversee program site relations and program logistics for Girls on the Run of Berrien County.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee Girls on the Run’s . . .
Programming, including program creation/expansion.
Program logistics, including coach box preparation.
Council/site communications and site relations.
Program shirt coordination.
Recruit, select and train Team Adelaide volunteers in conjunction with coordinating the Team Adelaide program,
Oversee logistics, with the support of other Girls on the Run of Berrien County staff, for all council trainings & coach meetings.
Manage program registration, processing, and dissemination of information to the Girls on the Run community.
Ensure all volunteer coaches are recruited, trained, evaluated and recognized each season.
Work with GOTRI to ensure all volunteer coaches meet requirements (i.e., background check and First Aid / CPR certification).
With the support of Girls on the Run of Berrien County staff, Team Adelaide members, and board members, ensure all program sites are delivering the curriculum properly without alteration.
Respond to all questions and concerns from parents, coaches and site liaisons in a timely fashion.
Serve as a substitute coach as needed.
Contribute to the maintenance of the Girls on the Run databases and Coach Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest pages.
Support Council 5ks, special events, and fundraising campaigns.
Implement GOTRI strategic plan at the local level.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Executive Director as necessary.
Serves as a role model for GOTR, exhibiting GOTR core values and mission.
Develop positive relationships with volunteers, board members, community and staff.
Any other duties deemed necessary by the Girls on the Run Berrien County Board of Directors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS degree.
Understanding of Positive Youth Development and Character Development programming.
Must be open to a flexible work environment including a home office, as required by the position (laptop provided).
Regular access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel locally.
Personal passion for the mission of GOTR.
Excellent project management, communication, collaboration and team participation skills.
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
Previous experience with Girls on the Run a plus.
Computer competence, including but not limited to: website maintenance, social media, Microsoft Office, Data Management and email.
This position reports to the Executive Director directly. Day-time, evening, and weekend hours, are required, according to scheduling demands. Vacation black-out periods may include January, February, end of April, May, end of August and early September.
