Manager of Operations – Relay Graduate School of Education – New York, NY

The Manager of Operations, Relay GSE New York will work closely with the Director of Operations, New York, the Associate Deans of New York, the Content Leadership Team, and other operational colleagues to ensure that Relay Graduate School of Education (Relay) is providing the highest quality education to teachers in New York. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Operations is a pivotal member of the New York regional team and the national Program Operations team. Executing regional core and content strategy, the Manager provides direct operational leadership over a wide array of programmatic functions including Saturday class days, online course platform data maintenance, email communications to the student body, electives coordination, and facilities maintenance. This individual is integral to the day-to-day regional operations of Relay GSE that will ensure that our program is preparing excellent teachers to serve high-need schools in New York.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Director of Operations, New York, the Associate Deans, the Content Leadership Team, and Manager of Special Projects to ensure systematic, proactive, and efficient regional operations
Work with the Director of Operations, New York to gather market data and set a strategic plan that is responsive to partners’ needs
Manage tactical relationships and meetings with Associate Deans and Content Leaders ensuring a clear annual communication plan to graduate students on all matters of program and student support
Manage all aspects of Core and Content MAT programming including, but not limited to: instructor supply requests, Course Platform anomalies, and program facilities, roster reconciliation, data integrity/maintenance, program enrollments, grouping assignments, tutorials & electives planning, coordination, and facilitation
Work strategically with the Content Team to improve the execution of our weeknight content days and the quality and efficiency of our Saturday programming
Plan, coordinate, and execute all logistics for all weeknight and Saturday class sessions, including setting up classrooms and supplies, managing support staff, and communicating to graduate students and instructors
Work closely with Director of Programs, New York and Relay’s Shared Services teams, including Enrollment Services, Student Financial Services, Technology, and Curriculum Design to create responsive, integrated program support for graduate students
Serve as primary liaison of all work streams related to data requests from Shared Services, reporting, and data collation
Maintain accurate information and module enrollment on Relay’s online learning management system
Help create and maintain a positive organizational environment by following through on promises and directives, including meeting deadlines and communicating progress to others
Perform other related duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

First and foremost, the Manager of Operations must share Relay’s sense of urgency about the need to improve student achievement through phenomenal teacher and leader training.

Additionally, candidates for the position must have the following:

At least four years of work experience, preferably in urban education and/or operations
BA/BS, Master’s degree preferred
Extensive experience in a K-12 school setting preferred
Strong project management skills paired with the ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources
Acute attention to detail and a focus on efficiency and systems building
An eagerness to help improve Relay’s program and operations in whatever ways possible
Excellent communication skills
A strong sense of humor coupled with an ability to work efficiently, intensely, and within an entrepreneurial environment
A demonstrated passion for urban education and closing the opportunity gap
Authorized to work in the U.S
