Human Resources Generalist – Children’s Rescue Fund – New York, NY

PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Generalist develops, maintains and enhances the Children’s Rescue Fund Human Resources departmental needs by providing the administrative operational support in areas of employee file management, record keeping and tracking, recruitment and processing of informational data respectfully.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. Participate in talent management and succession planning programs.

Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting candidate interviews, new hire orientation, and employee training programs in a timely manner.

Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs, and directing the processing of benefit claims. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Completes human resource operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Conduct site visits and maintain compliance posters accordingly across all sites. Participating in Job Fairs and managing the internal/external recruitment process.

File required credential and reporting for all staff where required and work with Directors of operations to track and monitor security licenses, annual physicals and TB Testing.

Manages CRF’s social media presences and oversight of website traffic and monitoring. Handles turnover reports and vacancies reports.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collect, complete, and forward accordingly all required paperwork for New Hires, Terminations, Suspensions, Salary / Title Changes, Personal Changes, 401K and Beneficiary designation, and any / all changes which affect Payroll and / or employee benefits. (i.e.; Medical ~ Vision ~ Dental Benefits, Transit Benefits, Supplemental Benefits, etc.)

    Manage all employee (active / non-active) benefit programs and relations:

New hires
Suspensions / terminations
Internal / External Investigations
Federal / State Allegations of Discrimination
Required Federal / State Postings

PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Frequent significant contact with paid staff designed to ensure effective performance and professional growth.
Regular, significant contact with other agencies to ensure suitable candidates are selected to fill vacancies at all levels.
Building and maintain connections with various training programs, publications, colleges and other media sites to establish resource development.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field.

Experience: 3+ years Human Resources experience and 2+ years of experience in an administrative capacity. Excellent communication written and verbal, MS office, marketing and web/social media skills required.

Travelling throughout various locations in the Bronx New York area is 40%

Fluent in Spanish & English both written and verbal, a plus not required
