Damco is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Business Partner who will be responsible for aligning business objectives with management and colleagues for the designated territory, serving as a partner and driver on human resource-related matters. You will act as a subject matter expert to line management and delivers HR solutions to meet business objectives and initiatives. You will also support and facilitate business on day to day Human Resources matters as outlined below.

-Ensure timely filling of open roles by partnering with Hiring Managers to develop a slate of qualified candidates and influence effective hiring practices with appropriate levels of governance for all positions for designated team.
-Responsible for corrective actions for employee relations issues, complaint and grievances under the direction of the Area HR Head and assist in creating and maintaining a positive employee relations environment.
-Assist managers through all phases of the performance management process. Ensure fair and consistent evaluation of performance across the network. Address performance issues proactively.
-Monitor regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance. Support Damco’s compliance programs in North America.
-Assist functions and stakeholders through reporting business deliverables and KPI measurements and manage the implementation of selected business initiatives.
We are looking for
-High School Diploma required; BA/BS Required in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Psychology
-5+ Years HR Experience Required
-Employee Relations/Compliance Experience strongly preferred
-Prior experience supporting a related industry preferred
-Excellent communication skills; can relate to people at all levels of an organization
-Strong and current knowledge of technology platforms, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software
-High energy, fast paced, strong execution minded individual
-A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player and also has political acumen.
-Strong thought leadership and influencing skills, ability to engage multiple business units to develop solutions
-Thorough working knowledge of HR practices and legal requirements affecting employment, performance management, compensation, labor relations and other related specialist areas, particularly compliance
-High integrity and personal credibility; ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
-Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility, manage resources effectively and efficiently
-Ability to train, coach, evaluate and mentor
-Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
