Reports to: Executive Director

Position Summary: This position will lead/coordinate all fundraising efforts for FolkTime, including annual events, individual giving campaign, sustaining donor campaign, business sponsorships, and grant applications to foundations and corporations.

Major Duties: The position is responsible for all or part of these areas:

Execute and facilitate the overall development plan with a focus on developing individual donors, including sustaining donors, online fundraising, and business sponsorships.
Lead in organizing agency fundraising and outreach events. This entails teamwork and leadership with volunteers, staff and the Board of Directors.
Prepare reports, compile and supervise a database, analyze results, and make suggestions for future activities and development plan adjustments.
Research fund development opportunities and establish ongoing relationships with external sources.
Work closely with the Executive Director and Board in designing and implementing strategies to increase public visibility and involvement through social media, website and newsletter.

Qualifications:

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will be creative, flexible and self-motivated.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible development experience in the Portland area including but not limited to individual donations, corporate sponsorships, sustaining donor programs, online fundraising, grant writing and events.
Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as experience in creating event materials.
Effective working knowledge of word processing and brochure/flyer design software.

Physical Demands of the Job: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of an administrative job. This includes lifting up to 25 pounds, working at a computer station. Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, exempt position, 32 hours per week. Position includes health, vision and dental benefits, and prorated Paid Time Off (PTO). Salary DOE
