Development Director – Bainbridge Island Museum of Art – Bainbridge Island, WA

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) is seeking a full-time Development Director.

This position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for annual fundraising (special events, annual sponsors and major donors, annual fund drive, memberships, etc.) and long-range development (major gifts, planned giving, endowment, naming opportunities, etc.).

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art opened in summer 2013, as a new, non-profit regional art museum. We completed a successful Capital Campaign in 2013 and first-time annual fundraisers in 2014 including an Art Auction, Special Event Dinner, Annual Fund drive, and a Membership Renewal Campaign. We are now focused on financial and organizational sustainability and have expanded our volunteer committee structures to support this.

Minimum requirements include five to seven years of experience in museum or non-profit fundraising, including working with Boards of Directors, and managing staff and volunteers. College degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
