Options Recovery Services is a non-profit provider of intensive and comprehensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment using an up to date treatment curriculum based on published “best practices”. The core 12 month program consists of a ten day early treatment phase and four three month phases. The focus is on identifying denial patterns, anger management, self-discovery, building healthy for reentry into the community. Other services include: a physical assessment upon entering the program, clean and sober transitional housing for our homeless clients, mental health counseling services, intensive case management, smoking cessation classes, an onsite drug testing lab, and permanent housing through Shelter Plus Care for program graduates For more information please see: http://www.optionsrecoveryservices.org/

POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Development Coordinator, you will be supervised by the Executive Director and you will coordinate the fundraising initiatives and activities of Options Recovery Services. This will include:

· Building a strong base of donors by successfully coordinating Options’ fundraising campaigns and community outreach activities;
· Planning and coordinating fundraising events including quarterly graduations, responsible for event publicity, and encouraging attendance;
· Solicitations of corporate donations, managing annual and capital campaigns;
· Coordinating outreach activities to major donors, arranging personal visits, and events;
· Developing and maintaining initiatives to expand Options’ visibility in the community and to bring in grants, contracts, and donors; manage social media and website content;
· Researching prospects for foundation and government grants and maintaining the grants / development calendar;
· Coordinating the submission of grant applications, bids, and proposals with the Options grant writer;
· Manage the donor database (Donor Perfect), tracking donations, in-kind contributions, grants, and gifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain internal information systems to coordinate donor information and annual campaign strategy;
· Maintain and improve the donor database functionality to enhance donor tracking and perform research on donors and prospects;
· Maintain communication and marketing materials for individual and community presentations;
· Develop information on potential foundation grants, work with grant writer to package and submit proposals and maintain a calendar to track foundation proposals; and
· Maintain and compile organizational and corporate documents for foundation and government proposals.

Position Requirements:
• College degree and previous/current development experience preferred;
• Able to take initiative, follow-through, and pay close attention to detail;
• Strong research and writing/communications skills (verbal and written);
• Ability to interact well with others;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Proficiency with MS Office, donor databases, and social media applications; and
• Ability to prioritize assignments, work under tight time constraints, and meet deadlines.
