The Development Intern is responsible for providing support to the Development and Communications Department’s day-to-day functions. The intern will work on a variety of projects to support the overall fundraising efforts of Words Alive including, grant research and management, donor research, annual campaign support, donor care, and data input.
Data Input: Manage donor database, including gift and pledge processing, cataloging visit records and notes, documenting relationships and donor status, and completing necessary follow up
Fundraising: Conduct donor and grant research, donor follow-up and care
Grant Management: Manage grants with Development Director and grant writer, including deadlines and reporting requirements
Assist monthly e-newsletter to donors and stakeholders, creating content
Assist in the creation of fundraising campaign and other donor related collateral
Volunteer should be at least 18 years of age and should expect to work 10-15 hours/week (Monday-Friday, routine schedule preferred). Will work with the intern to accommodate class schedules and for-credit requirements. *start/end dates flexible, but looking for someone to begin in fall of 2017
