POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Services Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer. They will guide the development of program services and program curriculum development within the agency to ensure its meets the highest standards and is based upon the core purpose of the agency: “Redefining what’s possible for individuals with disabilities”. Together, they will monitor the implementation of program services and curriculum delivery and establish measurement systems to track effectiveness in conjunction with the Quality Enhancement Office. In addition, they will support staff’s ability to implement curriculum and training opportunities both at our facilities and in the community. Finally, they will support the development of new services in accordance with the agency’s strategic objectives with a priority focus on the development of services for individuals with autism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the clinical and programmatic development of agency services.

Design and implement an annual program needs assessments based upon the surveys of individuals, families, funding /referral sources, individual assessments, progressive program models and clinical research on best practices.
Submit an annual summary of needs assessment results to the Management Team that report on key findings and recommendations for quality improvement objectives.
Lead development of training curriculums designed to maximize capabilities of individuals served.
Work with the COO and Department Heads to develop training curriculums designed to maximize the capabilities of individuals served by the agency.
Work with Department Heads and the Human Resources office to develop staff trainings that provide staff with the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to implement program curriculums.
Assess program staff delivery of services through regular and frequent interface with program staff.
Work with the Quality Enhancement office to develop data collection systems outcomes by which to monitor individual goal attainment.
Participate on Committees such as the Peer Review committee, Referral Review Committee, and Clinical Case Conferences, to ensure comprehensive services for individuals receiving services.
Act as lead in transferring CLASS to a Positive Behavioral Support model for all general clinical guidelines and interventions.
Serve as lead Director in the development of Autism Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field with a minimum of three years of senior level clinical experience and two years of management experience.
Board Certified Behavioral Analyst accreditation required along with experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
A strong leader able to oversee, motivate and support program staff and managers.
Able to develop strength based assessments, evaluation and service delivery plans to enhance a learning environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with other members of management to help build a stimulating, safe learning environment where individuals develop the cognitive, social, emotional and behavioral skills and resources to reach their personal potentials.
Skilled at analyzing, interpreting and using data to collaborate, identify best practices and areas for improvement and drive results.
Capability to effectively build, develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents and individuals.
Possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm, self-confidence, creativity and flexibility.
Able to self-direct and prioritize among competing goals and stimulate a culture of clinical excellence.
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
