Clinical Director, Fletcher Residence – Project Renewal – New York, NY

Fletcher Residence is an extended stay, service-enriched single-room occupancy residence providing housing for 55 formerly homeless single adults with chronic mental illness, some of whom are dually-diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder.

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Director will be responsible for supervising clinical staff in counseling, as well as developing, creating, and implementing client-centered practices to respond to medical, psychological, as well as any addictions needs, eventually promoting successful community integration for all residents.

Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Review, schedule, and assess all program admissions in conjunction with the Program Director and on-site Psychiatrist. Coordination of referrals and discharges for a 55-unit Level II CR-SRO Supportive Housing program. Build and maintain strong connections with both local and state service providers.

Direct clinical supervision of case management and case aide staff, which also includes providing and coordinating ongoing training, assessment, and coordination of clinical meetings. Assist with the development of case planning and treatment facilitation in accordance with evidence-based practices.

Maintain statistical and reporting requirements, along with an advanced level of oversight of Foothold AWARDS (clinical software database), as well as HRA’s PACT system.

Share 24-hour administrative oversight of program in conjunction with the Program Director.

Assist with program development/evaluation as part of maintaining quality assurance protocols.

Develop and implement a variety of client-oriented group activities with clinical staff.

Conduct regular and timely utilization reviews of agency records.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or other Human Services related field with significant experience working with the mentally ill and or dually-diagnosed homeless population. A minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a residential setting, is strongly preferred.
