Business Manager – Family Solutions – Ashland, OR

Family Solutions, a non profit children’s mental health agency, seeks a Business Manager to join the agency’s administrative team. This is an opportunity to provide strategic and managerial leadership for the finances, facilities, and business operations of an outstanding independent non-profit agency. In overseeing Family Solution’s fiscal and operational health, the successful candidate will work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues across the agency to support the mission of the agency.

Founded in the 1970s, Family Solutions today serves children and youth from across the State of Oregon in day treatment, residential, foster care and other programs. (www.familysolutionsoregon.org) Family Solutions has an operating budget of approximately $4 million, employs approximately 75-80 regular staff and another 45-50 relief staff.

Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Board of Directors and Program Managers, the Business Manager will develop and lead financial strategy, management, and resource allocation to support a sustainable business model. In particular, the Business Manager will focus on strategic and financial planning, maintaining fiscal discipline while assuring high-quality clinical programs; assisting with the planning and budget development of additional revenue-generating programs; and ensuring that financial resources such as cash and debt management are properly administered.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be a sophisticated leader who brings experience, at more senior levels, in nonprofit financial management. This experience will ideally include budgeting and planning, financial forecasting and analysis, accounting, human resources, business operations and oversight of facilities and capital projects. Experience in a similar not-for-profit organization would be a plus.

Minimum 5 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in building financial models and extracting actionable data.
Creative and thoughtful about how to manage financial behavior.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects while maintaining a firm grasp of individual project details.
High level of personal responsibility and drive towards ambitious goals.
Strong sense of integrity, ethics, and drive to achieve and grow.

Ability to maintain positive relations with colleagues at all levels.

Humility, sense of humor, and commitment to Family Solutions mission and the communities we serve.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Must pass a background check completed through DHS.

Must possess a valid drivers license and have a clean driving record
