Associate Human Resources Manager – Asian Health Services HR Dept – Oakland, CA

The Associate Human Resources Manager will drive the recruitment/screening process for clinicians and clinic support staff, will provide guidance to managers on sound employee relations practices, will assist managers with workforce development including crafting of job descriptions, performance improvement and training, and will take on special projects to promote a service oriented culture within the organization (C.A.R.E.) and to ensure that the strategic development of the HR function remains aligned with the direction of the agency as a whole.

BA with major course work in human resources, public or business administration, or related field; 3-5 years professional experience in human resources management; demonstrated team leadership in the HR function; ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management; strong analytic, interpersonal and problem solving abilities, as well as verbal and written communications skills; demonstrated success in recruitment and employee relations; proficient in Word, Excel and HRIS systems; and commitment to serving the community. Available for occasional travel. Bilingual in an Asian language desired.
