Content Manager – New York – LawHelpNY

Pro Bono Net is seeking an energetic, self-starter for the LawHelpNY Content Manager position. The Content Manager will report to the LawHelpNY Program Director. The ideal candidate is a bilingual attorney with 2-3 years related website content and social media experience and is familiar with HTML and CSS. The Content Manager will be responsible for developing a content strategy for a statewide legal information website, develop content partnerships with members of the legal services community, design new website content, track user analytics and develop usage reports.

Major Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a content management strategy for and
Manage content of LawHelpNY’s websites and blogs, including regular updates, troubleshooting, editing, and reviews.
Develop, write and edit content that promotes LawHelpNY’s mission to help low-income and other vulnerable New Yorkers achieve equal access to justice.
Collaborate with legal services organizations to develop new website and social media content.
Prepare and assist in the preparation of written deliverables for grants, including memoranda, summary reports, illustrative charts, and data-tables.
Develop PowerPoint and other visual presentations for conferences, meetings and trainings on LawHelpNY’s content developments.
Write, schedule, and optimize daily social media posts across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Develop tactics to build a strong brand identity on social media, engage users, increase traffic to LawHelpNY’s website.
Collect and analyze social media metrics and website analytics to measure effectiveness of campaigns and track against overall strategic goals.
Supervise Part Time Technology Assistant.

Desired Qualifications:
JD preferred
2-3 years relevant internship/work experience
Project management skills and experience with project management tools
Proven experience with website content management
Demonstrated basic knowledge/experience using wordpress blogs, HTML, CSS and/or website CMS’s (please list any CMS’s you have used)
Experience with social media (please list social media platforms you have used on a professional basis)
Knowledge of Photoshop and basic graphic design principles
Experience creating multimedia content highly desired
Strong writing skills
Demonstrated experience with cross-cultural communication
Demonstrated self-reliance and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Fluent Spanish skills, speaking, reading and writing, are highly preferable
Commitment to social justice and human rights is highly desirable.
