Government Contract Specialist – New York – NonProfit People Search

OPPORTUNITY:
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the management of all US Government contract requirements, including the monitoring of budgets, allocation of expenses and time management, sub-contracting functions, financial deliverables, and the training of and coordination with project management staff in the day to day functions of the contract. As the contract specialist, you will work closely with a project manager to ensure that all contract requirements are met and all contract deliverables are submitted.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3-5+ years of experience in the administration of the full lifecycle for NIH or government contracts and the sub-contracting functions. A collaborative work style based on open, transparent, continual communication, sharing, and inclusive decision-making coupled with a solution-oriented and proactive approach are a must. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) and strong computer skills are a required.
