Events Coordinator – UCLA Fielding School of Public Health – Los Angeles, CA

The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health Department of External Affairs is looking to hire an Events Coordinator as we step up our campaign to raise money for the school, with support for student fellowships being our top priority. The coordinator will manage logistical arrangements for special events and meetings, monthly health forums and webinars, grand rounds, and dinners to raise awareness and support of the school. Candidate must be able to manage multiple events at one time, be extremely organized, creative, persistent, energetic and require little supervision. Experience planning and executing events and knowledge of public health is a plus.

Specifics of the job include:

Establish and manage a six month rolling event plan for all Fielding School events, including budgets and analysis,
Identify and recruit program line-up and audiences, prepare invitations, announcements, flyers, donor recognition items, and manage supplier/vendor relationships,
Assist with the flow of official communications, including phone, mail and email. Compose, edit and proofread memos, letters, reports, presentation materials, and routine correspondence,
Serve as point of contact for alumni groups,
Send out stewardship reports and thank you letters,
Maintain a broad-based knowledge of the School, its departments and research centers,
Other projects as assigned.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. Pay is commensurate with experience.
