Education Technical Coordinator – New York – Cancer Care Inc

Job description
CancerCare’s Education Department seeks a full-time Coordinator to assist in the technical production of the Teleconference/Webcast Workshop brochures. The Education Team is a department that provides evidence-based information to people living with cancer, their caregivers, and health care professionals through telephone and online education workshops. The Technical Coordinator is responsible for working with the Education Team to produce workshop brochures, format power point presentations for the webcasts and professional presentations, and conference posters. In addition, the Coordinator works closely with collaborating organizations to promote the workshops, and create promotional postings for the Communications Team to post on Social Media Channels.

CancerCare is a national nonprofit, 501 c (3) organization providing free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. CancerCare programs—including counseling and support groups, education, financial assistance and practical help—are provided by professional oncology social workers and are completely free of charge. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of work experience, with experience in graphic design; experienced in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Outlook with familiarity in social networking. Strong communication skills (written and oral), compassionate service and delivery skills coupled with excellent computer skills. Able to establish priorities, work independently, be a team player, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
Produce Connect Education Workshop Brochures
Work closely with print vendor to email all the graphics for each Connect Workshop
Manage online registrations, including technical support
Maintain technical quality assurance for Education Team including computer programs, databases and printers. Trains Education staff on technical upgrades.
Produce all Power Point presentations using CancerCare’s branded format for each Teleconference/Webcast Workshop
Design Continuing Education (CE) brochures for all CE applications
Format Education staff’s posters and power point presentations
Create Education Calendar of workshops for social media scheduling
Work closely with Communications team to update workshop web pages, including links, PDFs and podcast replays
Coordinate with collaborating organizations for their review and comments on each workshop brochure, including updates on their contact information
Participate as an author in the Education Department’s publishing and citation research
Design and distribute quarterly calendar to CancerCare staff and students
