Director of Human Resources – Linden Hall School for Girls – Lititz, PA

This newly-created position, which reports to the Director of Finance and Administration, is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resources function.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate efficient human resources operations from payroll to benefits procedures to meeting current and future business needs within the school

Ensure continuity and successful delivery of payroll and benefit functions to users throughout the organization

Foster and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, employees, and vendors

Promote usage of the school’s HRIS, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of its capabilities

Maintain knowledge of trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance

Maintain responsibility for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters

Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed, on personnel matters

Build and maintain an effective recruiting structure for when positions become available

Prepare and participate in the preparation of staff development plans

Maintain the employee handbook and job descriptions

Perform new employee orientations and exit interviews, as needed

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Unquestionable personal integrity, excellent judgment, sound instincts, diplomacy and patience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field

A minimum of ten years of progressing human resource experience

Experience in an independent school environment

PHR or SPHR certification
