Duration: 3 Month Commitment (May- August)

Job Overview

The Program and Policy Graduate Intern will assist with higher education research and programmatic efforts that further Achieving the Dream’s mission to ensure community college success, particularly for low-income students and students of color.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct research projects and briefing papers pertaining to Achieving the Dream’s work in areas of workforce development, equity and institutional capacity building
Analyze and synthesize promising practices and common challenges at Achieving the Dream institutions
Regularly review reports on Achieving the Dream institutions and provide a summary of findings
Assist in providing support to Achieving the Dream institutions that participate in ATD grantfunded learning initiatives
Other duties as assigned, including some administrative functions

Skills/Qualifications/Experience

Knowledge of current issues in higher education, specifically related to the community college
Strong analytical skills; proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task competing projects and priorities
Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an accredited master’s or doctoral degree program.
