Lead Instructor will teach the Digital Media and Technology Pathways Photoshop (DMTP) class. The class meets for a minimum of 70 instruction hours during the semester, which includes both Lecture and Lab. The Lecture and Lab schedule is 9:30 am – 12:00 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays at Youth Radio.
Development of digital media curriculum, including leading classroom activities as well as working with program participants individually and in small groups to provide additional academic support as necessary
Implementation of curriculum designed for preparing youth for careers in the field of digital media and technology
Prepare and grade class assignments and examinations and promptly return them to students
Prepare students for Adobe Certified Associate Certification (ACA)
Attend required DMTP Program-related trainings, meetings, and workshops
Provide out of class office hours, including but not limited to, lesson preparation and additional academic support for students
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Possession of any Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university AND four years of documented experience in Multimedia Arts
Possession of any Associate Degree from an accredited college AND six years of documented experience in Multimedia Arts
May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in Multimedia Arts
Must be able to provide official transcripts from their higher education institutions
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent written and verbal communication
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for multimedia production
Provide professional history of successful classroom facilitation
