Developer – Jewish Family Service of San Diego

Position Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), non-exempt

Position Overview

Under supervision, the Job Developer establishes and maintains activities to develop, locate, and secure job openings for refugees and individuals granted asylum. The Job Developer will focus on marketing clients to, and creating meaningful relationships with, local employers and utilizing these relationships to secure quality job placements. The Job Developer will also assist with preparing clients for, and transporting them to, job-related activities.

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in experience (Marketing/Business degree preferred)

Valid California Driver’s License and operating vehicle with insurance required

Marketing and sales work experience preferred

Knowledge of the methods and techniques of job development and client placement preferred

Knowledge of local industries and employers required

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to identify and pursue opportunities and work independently

Familiarity with other cultures preferred

Openness to working with individuals from around the world in a respectful, culturally-sensitive manner
