Job Announcement: Analyst
Spectrum Nonprofit Services is excited to continue to grow our staff with a new opportunity at our firm. The Analyst position is a full-time, key position in the delivery of management consulting and training services for Spectrum Nonprofit Services. This role will contribute to client interaction and delivery of services, marketing of the practice, and all other elements necessary for the success of our firm.

Spectrum Nonprofit Services provides strategy and management expertise to guide and empower nonprofit clients in making ongoing strategic decisions that foster impact in the communities in which they operate. Our approach at Spectrum Nonprofit Services is rooted in the organizational necessity of a nonprofit’s integrating finances, mission, and leadership. We are looking for a self-starting professional who is disciplined, highly organized yet flexible, skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines, and passionate about creating lasting social change using data and sound judgement to accomplish shared goals.

The key responsibility for this position will be

Providing support to the Principal and other consultants on client engagements with follow-through and creative problem solving.
This may include, but is not limited to, assisting in meetings, discussing strategies, designing surveys, conducting quantitative analysis, market research and interviews and presenting findings, and drafting documents for clients.
The role will also include client coordination and associated administrative tasks.

Secondary responsibilities include:
Learning, understanding, and being able to share and educate others on Spectrum’s approach and related nonprofit management topics such as:
Nonprofit sustainability and the use of the matrix map to visualize and strengthen organizations’ business models.
Ongoing strategic decision making and Spectrum’s approach to strategic planning.
Determination of true financial performance and other financial metrics.
Contributing to the development and execution of Spectrum’s approach to nonprofit consulting.
Supporting business development practices as needed and contributing to Spectrum’s digital marketing efforts, including writing blog posts and articles on nonprofit management topics and the effects of current events on nonprofits.

Passion for and experience in the social sector and interest in nonprofit capacity building and consulting with a broad understanding of approaches and the national landscape of nonprofit capacity and leadership literature and firms.

Skills and Experience
Relevant educational experience and experience in a professional work environment.
Experience with collecting and interpreting data, conducting analysis; comfort with technology platforms a plus.
Strong problem-solving instinct and skills. Capacity and enthusiasm for learning and research.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
