Saturday Registrar / Front Office Position – New School of Music – Cambridge, MA

This part-time Saturday position at the New School of Music will serve as the initial customer service contact for the NSM’s incoming calls, as well as for walk-in inquiries made by students, faculty, staff, and guests. In addition, this position will provide support for the administrative needs of the staff and maintain an organized and welcoming atmosphere for all constituents.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure that the front office is open for business promptly
Assist NSM faculty, students, parents & guests by phone, email or in person with:
Processing student registrations
Taking in class inquiry forms and information
Matching students with teachers and schedules
Processing payments
Updates to teacher rosters
Room reservations
Distributing forms and flyers around the building
Light cleaning for a clean and welcoming office/building space
Assist with database management
Other tasks as assigned

Candidates need to be available to work part-time; 9-3pm on Saturdays, some week-day morning hours as needed during periods of high class registration in September & February.
