Students Rising Above

Database Manager – Salesforce Administrator

Organization

Students Rising Above (SRA) was created in 1998 by KPIX 5 anchor Wendy Tokuda and began as a series of news stories featuring low-income Bay Area youth rising above tremendous odds of poverty, homelessness, abandonment and neglect. In 2003, Lynne Martin and Barb Hendricks expanded this scholarship program into a year round 501(c)3 nonprofit helping low-income students attend and graduate from college, and then transition into the workforce. This award-winning program has inspired supporters to send nearly 600 students to four-year universities across the county.

More information about SRA is available at www.studentsrisingabove.org.

In an effort to serve more low-income students, SRA recently created an online virtual platform — the SRA College2Careers Hub. As a result of the tremendous response from students and the online community, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Database Manager to help us expand the Hub. This is an opportunity to join a creative and entrepreneurial team committed to serving low-income students across the country as we provide vital online support along the critical pathway from high school, through college, and into the workforce.

The Database Manager is responsible for providing Salesforce Admin support and managing SRA’s online event and donation tracking systems. This includes maintaining and improving the Salesforce database, both for SRA’s internal database needs, and in support of the Hub. The ideal candidate will be flexible and excited by the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
