Creative Executive Assistant – Brooklyn – Petals-N-Belles

Petals-N-Belles (PNB) is a New York City-based 501(c)(3) social development organization that empowers, inspires, and educates girls with creative workshops, community initiatives, and academic coaching.

Through after-school, weekend, and summer programs, PNB provides girls—many of whom live at or below the poverty level without personal or professional development resources—with the opportunity to reach their full potentials.

Role & Responsibility:
Petals-N-Belles seeks an experienced, motivated Creative Assistant to support the Executive Director (ED). The ideal candidate must be extremely well organized, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly computer literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, InDesign, Photoshop, QuickBooks), and possess strong time management skills, including appointment scheduling and calendar maintenance. The Creative Executive Assistant will also be responsible for administrative task and projects to ensure the office runs smoothly, take on multiple projects at once and stay calm under pressure.

The selected candidate MUST be professional with a high level of sophistication and have the ability to anticipate the needs of the ED. Specific duties include but not limited to:

Booking meetings and managing the schedule of the Executive Director
Managing info@petalsnbelles.org email—direct and respond to general inquiries
Coordinate both business/personal and related travel arrangements
Demonstrate the ability to assist or take a lead role in effectively coordinating various charitable activities
Manage social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter)
Scanning, inputting and organizing documents for online storage
Tracking and documenting executive and office expenses on Quickbooks
Using Excel to input data and evaluate program effectiveness
Maintaining general office organization
Ability to grasp complex tasks and carry out directions independently.
Recruiting and managing volunteers
Manage a variety of assignments requiring sensitivity to confidential information.
Assist in planning of meetings and special events; take meeting minutes as requested.

Details:
Time Commitment: 35 hours a week
Pay: Upto $14 per hour
Long term commitment to the organization preferred
