Job Title: Part-time Administrative Assistant

Program Description:

Mosaic Family Services (Mosaic) is a non-profit community based organization that provides culturally and linguistically competent services to refugees and immigrants in crisis. The mission of Mosaic is to support, educate, and empower the multicultural individuals and families of North Texas.

Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative support to attorneys and BIA accredited representatives in Mosaic’s Legal Program including by: aiding in the preparation of clients’ immigration petitions, communicating with clients of the agency about appointments and/or case progress, and maintenance of client files. The position is available for approximately 20 hours each week.

Job Duties:

Maintain client information, including database management;
Create new client case files and manage the filing system;
Manage staff calendars;
Answer phones and communicate with potential/existing clients; and
Other administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Fluency (speaking, writing, and reading skills) in both Spanish and English preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or progress toward a degree or equivalent in a human services field.
Effective communication with and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations.
Computer literacy and word processing skills.
Commitment to issues involving immigrants and refugees.
Dependable, good work habits, strong people and communication skills.
