Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) is a public charity that supports grassroots activists and civil society organizations working to address environmental and social justice issues primarily in the global south. GGF believes that grassroots activism is key to solving seemingly intractable problems and halting cycles of poverty, powerlessness and environmental destruction. Working with an international network of advisors, we help overcome the barriers of grassroots grantmaking by identifying viable and effective organizations and providing small grants to these organizations at minimal cost. These grants offer hope and tap the energy of communities where other sources of support are limited.

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for providing support to the Vice President (50%), Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (25%) and Vice President of Programs (25%). Support includes coordinating and scheduling internal and external meetings for both the Global office based in the US and the European office based in London, as well as office administrative tasks of answering phones, processing mail and greeting visitors.

Job Responsibilities:
Provides support to the Vice President (VP), triaging email, assisting with correspondence and written communication, editing and proofreading
Organizes GGF UK/Europe including keeping Trustee records, scheduling board meetings, and preparing board books, under the direction of the VP
Coordinates logistics for domestic and international travel; books flights/hotels
Coordinates travel logistics and meetings when field staff, advisors, and grantees visit the US
Manages and schedules internal meetings; working closely with other administrative and support staff in many cases
Assist Donor Advised Funds Program Officer with processing of Donor Advised Funds grants
Responsible for preparing expense reports monthly
Coordinate external meeting planning for VP, CFO and VP Programs
Compiles departmental updates from various departments to circulate twice a month
Takes minutes at various staff meetings as assigned
Provides general administrative support—for example, distributing mail, monitoring general email addresses, answering phones, signing for packages, greeting visitors, etc.

Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of professional work experience in an administration/executive support role
Able to work as a part of a team and handle requests from multiple parties, often on tight timelines
Proficiency with MS Office Suite; with expertise in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong organization and time management skills and attention to detail
Experience organizing meetings, arranging international travel, and managing budgets
Excellent communication and people skills; in person, over the phone and via email
A motivated self-starter who looks for ways to contribute to the organization’s mission and is happy to assist in whatever way possible
Commitment and understanding of the Greengrants mission
Strong writing, proofing and editing skills
An enthusiastic and upbeat personality and an eagerness to learn new skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 403b retirement plan, and flex plan.
