SUMMARY

The Snow Leopard Trust is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Seattle whose mission is to save the endangered snow leopard in the wild through a balanced approach that addresses the needs of local communities and the environment. Our small, busy office is seeking a Sales and Marketing Associate with strong marketing and communications skills to devleop and implement successful strategies and compelling campaigns for our Snow Leopard Enterprises handicrafts.

This is a part-time position which reports to our Manager of Sales and Marketing, and is based in Seattle, Washington.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up at least three online retail outlets (e.g.Overstock,Amazon, Ebay) for Snow Leopard Enterprises products
Manage said outlets – keep product description up-to-date, receive orders and coordinate with fulfillment team, handle general customer inquiries
Submit products for review to appropriate catalogs, gift guides, blogs, both online and print (e.g. Real Simple magazine, in-flight magazines, Sundance catalog, handmade or fair trade product blogs, talk shows seeking products to push)
Develop product specific marketing packages to submit to said catalogs and gift guides
Assist with trade show preparation and development of marketing materials, product-specific press release, and ad campaigns
Assist with the development of general marketing materials and customer service when needed

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

The Snow Leopard Trust is a small office with a strong team atmosphere and requires someone with a positive attitude who is willing to pitch in where needed. The following are required qualifications for this position:

A commitment to wildlife conservation
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and on an indiviual basis
Strong customer service skills – experience is a must
Some experience and/or education in marketing
Outgoing, open, and friendly personality
Innovative, with the ability to think “outside the box”
Self-starter, works well independently with little supervision
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or InDesign is a plus
