Marketing / Events Intern – Seattle CityClub – Seattle, WA

Duties: Assist communication and program departments with event marketing, registration and support. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who would like to gain insight into working in a fast-paced community based non-profit organization. This is an unpaid position that offers hands-on opportunities in event-planning, developing communication strategies and other areas as interested.

Specific Projects:
Marketing

Write and distribute press releases
Update and edit media list, track media coverage
Post event information on community calendars
Target marketing outreach
Assemble marketing materials and packets
Assist with written, email and telephone communications CityClub members, event participants, media, etc.
Update & maintain photo library

Events

Assist with event logistics, publicity and hospitality
Maintain and grow partner organization database
Support Office Coordinator in event registration process
Support Programs Manager in co-promoter outreach for events

Qualifications:

Organized and professional
Strong written and verbal communications
Ability to budget time effectively and work on deadline
Experience with databases a plus
Interest in non-profits, civic affairs and community impact a plus

Unpaid internship

Hours: 10-15 hrs between 9am – 5 pm; M-F
