Marketing / Communications Coordinator – The Moyer Foundation – Seattle, WA

Position

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing and Communications (or the CEO or Senior Seattle Staff member as needed) the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will assist in all matters of the Foundation’s communication efforts while maintaining consistent marketing and messaging strategies to support the Foundation’s long term vision and short term strategic business planning. This position will work closely with all members of staff as well as external agencies to ensure that the Foundation’s mission is effectively communicated to all audiences. This position is part-time, non-exempt.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with brand identity and consistency across both internal and external communication assets and channels

Work with senior staff to create donor communications and direct mail appeals including management of 2015 End of Year giving campaign
Manage external social media agency – coordinating, reviewing and approving all content and campaign messaging
Support relationship with public relations agency – reviewing and approving media releases, talking points and Foundation key messages
Support Moyer Foundation event staff as it relates to marketing and communication aspects of upcoming signature events including event-specific creative, internal and external outreach, sponsorship information, etc.
Support Moyer Foundation program staff with ongoing communications efforts helping to ensure brand consistency across national Camp Erin and Camp Mariposa networks
Assist with final stages of website redesign and ongoing maintenance of web content
Other Administrative Duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required in marketing, public relations or related field or equivalent experience
3-5 years of relevant marketing and/or communications experience preferred
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, polished customer service skills and strong editing and proofreading skills
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, project management and communications
Highly skilled in social, digital and new media
Ability to handle events and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Strong understanding of the importance of sensitivity to matters relating to children
Strong computer skills – expertise in Power Point, Constant Contact and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Ability to work weekends/nights for events as needed and some travel may be necessary
