JOB SUMMARY:
Overall responsibility for Society’s communications, public relations and marketing strategies. Reports to Chief, Strategic Positioning & Communications.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Serve as Society’s PR counsel, advise Chief, Strategic Positioning & Communications, Executive Director and Board of Directors on strategic public relations issues and opportunities. Manage and implement Society-wide marketing efforts, including plans for the International Conference, membership, journals, official ATS documents and educational products. Manage the monthly ATS News. Supervise planning of all pre-International Conference press and promotional activities. Develop and evaluate overall brand strategy for the Society. Work with the Chief, Strategic Positioning & Communications to evaluate existing programs, make recommendations to enhance their overall impact, develop new programs to meet unmet needs and assist with implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related degree, minimal requirement. Graduate degree preferred.
Seven years previous experience in public relations, communications and marketing; at least 5 years in supervisory/ management role.
Experience with institutional branding/marketing strategies.
Demonstrated successes in leading an organization’s public relations and communications efforts.
Proven ability to successfully lead and manage multiple projects.
