Digital Marketing Associate – Equality Now – New York, NY

Primary Responsibilities

The Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for the following activities:

Administer website & online properties: Lead in the administration of Equalitynow.org, campaign microsites, and other properties with hands-on maintenance, tech support, liaise with web hosting firm.

Implement digital marketing strategy: Support strategy development, planning, and execution of online marketing strategy to increase online revenue, engage constituents, and build brand awareness.

Support online engagement: Optimize online properties to enhance user experience and interaction; support SEO efforts and the development of new engagement activities (e.g. recurring giving, peer-to-peer fundraising); support paid search campaigns to increase inbound traffic and optimize conversions.

Implement email marketing activities: Support and implement EN’s email marketing strategy, including routine solicitations, updates, automated drip campaigns (e.g., autoresponders, email welcome series), and monthly newsletters while segmenting constituents to optimize engagement.

Social media community management: Maintain appropriate voice, tone and levels of engagement in the implementation of EN’s social media strategy across all channels.

Collect and analyze online data: Develop and maintain monthly online revenue and engagement dashboards; monitor web traffic data using Google Analytics and SEO tools.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing
1-2 years of digitalmarketing experience in a professional environment, including:

Experience with CMS (such as Drupal) and CRM (e.g., Convio, Salsa) administration
Technical proficiency in hand-coding semantic HTML and CSS
Administering social media properties in a professional environment
Knowledge of email marketing applications and cross-client compatible templates
Working with constituent relationship management systems
Analyzing web traffic data and making data-driven recommendations

Comfort with web technology, communicating with developers and system administrators, and translating technical requirements to non-technical users
Strong communication skills, especially in web and email marketing contexts
Interest in working for a global human rights organization furthering the rights of women and girls

Highly Desirable:

Experience with Drupal CMS advanced site building, theming knowledge
Experience with online email software (Salsa, Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
Experience managing peer-to-peer fundraising programs.
Experience with paid social or search advertising programs.
Familiarity with Spanish, French, or Arabic
