Maryland Market Money Coordinator – Maryland Farmers Market Association – Baltimore, MD

The Maryland Farmers Market Association (MDMFA), a statewide non-profit that aims to increase healthy food access for all through a robust network of farmers markets, is hiring a Maryland Market Money Program Coordinator. Maryland Market Money is an innovative program that provides additional funds to low-income households who spend their federal nutrition benefits at farmers markets. The position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, though occasional weekend hours and travel within the state may be required.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is equally comfortable working autonomously and in a collaborative team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Management of the statewide Maryland Market Money Program, including ongoing technical assistance and support for market managers
Data tracking and analysis of federal nutrition benefits sales, Maryland Market Money usage, and program participation rates
Outreach to promote the program to eligible participants
Managing MDFMA’s social media outlets, website & materials
Monitoring program budget
Supporting fundraising for the Maryland Market Money program
Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications:

Excel and MS office suite
Familiarity with shared office services (such as DropBox, Box, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and with attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to food justice and local food systems
Experience working with diverse populations.
WordPress and fundraising experience preferred but not required
