As the Key Account Program Manager, based in either South Gate, CA or Chicago, IL office, you will have the operational ownership of the service delivery of the customer.

Key responsibilities
-Responsible and accountable for all aspects of Damco’s service delivery to client.
-Travel to and engage with all regional clients on operations centric topics, minimally on a monthly basis.
-Develop and strengthen relationships with key decision makers within client organization.
-Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction, cost saving, client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and contract renewal for assigned accounts.
-Ensure that strategic KPI’s are in line with client’s goals and objectives.
-Develop, maintain, and drive global improvement of appropriate client agreed upon KPI’s.
-Ensure top-notch service delivery for all clients, by coordinating with origin offices, Shared Service Centers, Customer Resources Centers and/or other Damco service centers where applicable, ensuring overall service levels meet client expectations and root-cause fixes are implemented.
-Demonstrate experienced leadership and management qualities that will allow for both internal mentoring of teams (Air, Customs House Brokerage, Warehousing & Distribution, Ocean, & Supply Chain Management) and external client confidence in Damco as an operator and as a company overall.
-Review all Standard Operating Procedures and Internal Operating Procedures on a regular basis, ensuring that they are up to date and easily understood, while identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions to clients.
-Train all assigned associates to handle all client related needs; ensuring that they interact with the highest degree of professionalism, customer service, and good attitude within APM, and with internal/external suppliers.

We are looking for
-Bachelor Degree preferably in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain Management; High School Diploma or equivalent required
-5 to 7 years relevant experience, including experience with international logistics, supply chain, and forwarding solutions.
-Experience within Damco as Operations Manager or Senior Logistics Specialist preferred
-Supervisory experience preferred
-Ability to work in a matrix organization and influence decision makers
-Proven and sustained track record of delivery, with focus on driving results through others
-Experience of working and designing solutions for complex operational and commercial challenges
-Understanding and passion for driving continuous improvements in the business
-Exposure and understanding of Business Improvement / Lean tools
-Excellent communication and influence skills
-Ability to interface with Executive Level Management
-Being a team leader supporting the global/regional/country teams proactively
-Ability to build strong effective networks
-Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify activities
